Favicon, which means favorite icon, is a symbol of your blog. Having a unique favicon makes your blog more outstanding and easier to remember. So let us try to do this great thing!
I suddenly found that Blogger has its own real favicon function. Congrats! We don't need the method difficult below, just use the official function! I love Blogger more!
New way to set up your favicon: Go to Design, you can see the button. Try it!
First of all, you'd better create an icon having
.ico as a file type. If not, you can also use
.gif. But only Firefox can identify them. I don't test Firefox, but Chrome can show favicon of
.png, and IE can't. You can search website which can create
.ico file. Or upload
.png file to Picasa Web Album, then catch the img URL as your favicon address.
Secondly, revise your template. Go to Design --> Edit HTML, then insert
<link href='your favicon address' rel='shortcut icon' type='image/x-icon'/>
</head>, or after
<b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/>.
For example, mine is like this:
<link href='https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/_GHKvgAxuUKw/TYiztWI3YfI/AAAAAAAAAG8/HRUTyPYTtuI/s800/logo_150_png.png' rel='shortcut icon' type='image/x-icon'/>
I inserted it just after
<b:include data='blog' name='all-head-content'/>, and I made it.
Though I can see the favicon only with Chrome but IE or Maxthon, I still feel satisfied. I wish you make your blog more beautiful.
